L. Scott Lingamfelter wants Virginia women to undergo transvaginal ultrasounds

Transvaginal ultrasound procedures are not medically warranted in the case of first-trimester, legal abortions. Moreover, they are humiliating, invasive, and painful. They are promoted by members of the far right in Virginia's General Assembly merely to discourage legal abortions.

L. Scott Lingamfelter was in the military before entering politics. Currently, he represents Virginia's 31st District, recently gerrymandered to favor Republicans. The area includes Montclair, Dale City, Triangle, Dumfries, and adjacent areas.

In Richmond, he consistently votes with members of the far right, including Delegates Bob Marshall and Rich Anderson. His singleminded focus is on promoting more guns throughout Virginia and on suppressing equal rights for women. He makes no apologies for his  positions on these issues.
